AGAVE ESPADIN

Young Espadín agave, with its 40% alcohol content, is an emblematic drink originating from the state of Oaxaca, Mexico. Handcrafted with Espadín agave, a variety specially cultivated for mezcal production, this spirit offers a unique sensory experience.

When served, the captivating aroma of this mezcal intoxicates the senses with deep smoky notes that evoke the traditional cooking and fermentation processes with subtle touches.

CHARACTERSTICS

  • Cultivated agave
  • Harvested after 7 years of maturity
  • Cooked in a conical oven with mesquite wood.
  • Crushed in an Egyptian mill pulled by a horse.
  • Fermented in pine wood vats.
  • Double distilled in a copper still.

TASTE NOTES

The smoky flavor is subtle and not overpowering. Notes of agave, citrus, and nuts can also be appreciated. The smoky notes are prominent but complemented by aromas of agave, citrus, and nuts. The light color is a result of distillation. The body is medium, and the mouthfeel is smooth and creamy. It can be used in a variety of cocktails, such as margaritas, palomas, and mojitos.
